Silver was given an opportunity to kick a field goal for $400,000 — and an additional $400,000 for hurricane relief — on ESPN’s College GameDay in Athens, Georgia ahead of the Bulldogs’ matchup with Tennessee.

Pat McAfee made a deal with Georgia student Henry Silver. The “GameDay” analyst said he would double the winnings Saturday for the weekly kicking contest, but Silver only gets one shot. As it turned out,

The Georgia student was the lucky winner of the raffle that decides who will attempt a 33-yard field goal to win $800,000 on College GameDay – well, kind of. Belle Sessions was actually the winner of the raffle, but opted to nominate Silver for the kick with the idea to split the winnings if he made the kick.
