Chock Chapple proposed to Joan Vassos in the show's Nov. 13 finale and tells PEOPLE he found it "very tough" to hide the engagement from friends

"The Golden Bachelorette" Joan Vassos, 61, and Chock Chapple, 60, are blending families with adult children. Vassos is a mom of four and Chapple is a dad of two.

And during the finale of the reality series, Vassos said “yes” to Chock Chapple when he got down on one knee to propose. But despite their engagement, Vassos and Chapple won’t be living together. “We’re going to be going back and forth between Kansas to Maryland and to New York,” Chapple explained to People.
