Teamsters Canada says its members at Purolator will not handle packages postmarked or originating from Canada Post amid an ongoing strike by the Crown corporation's workers.

Canada Post has stopped delivering mail across the country as of Friday because tens of thousands of postal workers are on strike over wages, working conditions and other issues. The shutdown will affect millions of Canadians and businesses nationwide,

Teamsters Canada says if Canada Post workers go on strike or are locked out, its members at Purolator won't handle any packages postmarked or identified as originating from the carrier.
